Late May 1998, Lucky had an idea to kick off an mp3 site. He deliberates
on his needs. Realizes he will need another hand. Enter Tikila.
Business meeting and they are in it together halfing all profits.
As for the trademarked name, it almost never happened. GF was originally
to be called "DiZiple$ MP3Z"...but upon the date of arrival
Lucky was sparked by the catchiness of "Ghetto Fabulous".
June 1, 1998, the premiere of this biatch we've come to know
well. GF quickly caught fire stacking up countless hits. Home of
the 56 kbps MP3Z, Ghetto Fabulous was on top of the hip hop MP3
scene.GF was in its prime and in its golden days. After failed promises
and loss of profits from CyberThrill, Lucky and Tikila lost focus.
GF went into a 2 month hibernation. Many believed GF was dead. Late
November GF kicks back into gear. A new affiliate was introduced.
The man known as layer3 formerly of "The Rapstation".
Layer3 refreshed GF with a new layout and a blazing streak of songs
& tracks. Then GF went rock bottom. January 1999, after 3 weeks
of no updates and broken links GF caught great criticism. Lucky
and Tikila decide to take it "ol school". Back to the
golden days. After a brief business deal layer3 was professionally
dismissed on good terms. After an unexpected deal, Lucky enlisted
the help of the IVIyth. A relative newcomer to the mp3 scene, he
shows much promise. Plus he has other uses which will benefit this
site much. Now on to the future. As we'll see what 1999 has in store
for the Ghetto Fabulous operations...
